Board of Supervisors/ Lobbying Lobbying Montgomery County does not employ lobbyists. The county is a member of the Virginia Association of Counties and National Association of Counties. VACo annual dues are $20,687 and NACo annual dues are $1,888. Both organizations employ lobbyists who represent counties on the state or national levels in legislative and regulatory processes and serve as a resource and network for planning and implementing new ideas and technologies.
