  • PSA reports the cause of the issue was air in the water lines, which prevented the water lines from being fully operational and led to issues with water supply tanks filling and remaining full. While the PSA worked to identify and rectify the issue, portions of the water lines were temporarily shut off. In addition, as water service was being restored, usage of water increased at high levels, which led to a supply and demand issue as the water tanks were being refilled. The first priority of the PSA has been to restore water to customers. In the coming days and weeks, the entire system in the Elliston and Shawsville areas is being evaluated with the goal of preventing an issue like the one recently.
