Capital Improvements Program

The Capital Improvements Program (CIP) and the resulting Capital Budget provide Montgomery County with a way to manage the long range public facilities needs of County residents. The Capital Budget covers the construction and rehabilitation of schools, parks, collections facilities, fire and rescue squad vehicles and equipment, and other public structures. The CIP process is split into two sections: planning (technical review) and budgeting (financial review). The work listed below is on the planning side of the CIP process. For additional information on the financial portion of the CIP, please contact the Montgomery County Finance Department.
