    Authors: Xin Lu, Wei-Ning Xiang, and Marion Hickock, Department of Geography and Earth Science, University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Abstract "Presented in this paper is a GIS-based park trail design model that provides the capabilities of integrating on-site suitability assessments with off-site visibility analysis, dynamically formulating and interactively evaluating trail design scenarios, and making selection recommendations. Primarily designed for and tested on the Crowders Mountain State Park in North Carolina it has the potential to be transferred to other regions."
