The Huckleberry Trail
Heritage Park & Trail System

2000 Users Survey: Frequency of Use

The Huckleberry Trail Users Survey asked respondents how often they used the trail. The responses were separated into six categories: 1) Daily users; 2) Heavy users, i.e. those who use the trail 21-30 times per month, although not necessarily on a daily basis; 3) Moderate users, i.e. those who use the trail 11-20 times per month; 4) Light users, i.e. those who use the trail 1-10 times per month; 5) Rare users, i.e. those who use the trail less than once per month; and 6) First time users. The respondents were almost evenly split between light (43 respondents, accounting for 30.3%), moderate (45 respondents, accounting for 31.7%), and heavy or daily (43 respondents, accounting for 30.3%) use. Only 4.2% of the respondents indicated rare use patterns and 3.5% indicated they were first time users. Those who use the trail on a daily basis accounted for 10.6% of those surveyed.
