GREENWAYS & TRAILS

• TRAILNET INC. (A regional land trust for the development of multi-use trails, greenways, and alternative transportation in the St. Louis Area. Trailnet offers an example of one approach to greenway and trail development)

• RAILS-TO-TRAILS CONSERVANCY (Locally, the Huckleberry Trail offers an example of a rails-to-trails project. The Rails-to-Trails Conservancey provides of services and information on trail development).

• NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENTS CLEARINGHOUSE--NTEC (The site includes extensive trail development resources, technical data sheets on financing, grant writing, conflict resolution, and trail design, as well as access to TEA-21 grants and information).

• MILLENNIUM TRAILS (Both the Huckleberry and the Blacksburg Bi-centennial Trail are designated as Millennium Trails.

• FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION: BICYCLE, PEDESTRIAN, AND TRAILS (Provides overviews to Bibcycle & Pedestrian programs and the Recreational Trails Program)

• NATIONAL CENTER FOR BICYCLING & WALKING (Provides information on Pedestrian and Bike Transportation, Tea-21 information, and Facilities Planning & Design).
