Geotechnical Study Spring, 2001

Introduction

Earth Model of Resistivity Data from Line 2

(Thumbnail)

Line 2 is located across the Huckleberry Trail from the tipple foundation. The concrete slab is the upper hoist house foundation. Immediately to the east is a depression at the base of one of the park's older white oaks. Both the anomaly adjacent to the hoist house and to the oak appear to be surface features and unrelated to mine workings. The opening, indicated on the left of the image, is either a small cave or a den of some sort.
