In his final report, Ted Dean (ATS) concluded that there were, indeed,
some water-filled voids underlying portions of the park, most notably
on line 1, air-filled voids on line
2, and either air-filled, or acid mine water on lines
3 and 4. In addition, Mr. Dean indicated
that the data on lines 3 and 4 "suggested the potential for further
collapse and subsidence. Line 5, which
runs along Bunker Hill on the northern portion of the park, found some
evidence of possible mine workings, but the voids were so far below the
surface that they posed only negligible risk. (see
