Erica Williams, Clerk of Circuit Court

The Clerk of Circuit Court serves as general record keeper for the County, records land transfers, deeds, mortgages, births, wills, adoptions, divorces, military records, and election results. The Clerk issues fishing, hunting and marriage licenses, and applications for passports, name changes, notaries, and concealed handguns, selects and seats juries, and keeps court judgment document books. More information can be found on the Circuit Court Services page.

Due to changes in office procedures required by recent budget cuts, the Circuit Court Clerk's Office now mandates that a specific cover sheet, completed by the filing attorney, be included for all land-related filings and recordings, including deeds, deeds of trust, releases, and assignments. The sheet is available online at www.landsystems.com. There is no additional charge for this requirement.
