Census 2020 - Shaping your future
When you do the math, it's easy to see what an accurate count of residents can do for your community: better infrastructure, improved services, and a brighter tomorrow for everyone. In fact, the information the Census collects helps to determine how billions
of dollars in federal funding are spent each year on things like:
- Hospitals
- Job training centers
- New schools
- School programs, such as Head Start
- Senior centers
- Bridges, tunnels, roads, and highways
- Emergency services
- Natural disaster response
Remember, wherever you live on April 1 is where you fill out the Census. University students, be sure to fill it out right where you’re living, not where you grew up or where your parents reside.
